We are excited to expand our hop farm, enhancing our commitment to growing high-quality hops for our unique tea hop products. By adding more trellises and optimizing our growing conditions, we are increasing both our yield and the consistency of our harvest. Our carefully selected Chinook hops thrive in nutrient-rich soil, supported by a natural trellis system designed for strong, healthy growth.
As we expand, we are also improving soil health, refining irrigation, and perfecting our cultivation techniques to ensure the freshest, most aromatic hops for our tea blends. This growth allows us to craft premium tea hop products that deliver rich flavors and natural wellness benefits.
With this expansion, we look forward to sharing even more high-quality, farm-grown hops in every cup.
We have built our first hop trellis row using natural wood, topping trees at 18 feet to create a strong and sustainable support system. This row is the foundation of our hop yard, with plenty of room to expand outward. Future rows will be spaced approximately 10 feet apart, allowing for optimal growth and airflow. With this carefully planned structure in place, we’re excited to cultivate a thriving Chinook hop harvest this season on our 55-acre farm.
We have selected high-quality Chinook hop rhizomes from our mentor hop farm outside of Charlottesville, Virginia and are preparing to plant them this spring after the last frost. Our carefully chosen site provides optimal soil conditions and trellis support to ensure healthy growth. With proper care and maintenance, we look forward to a strong harvest of aromatic Chinook hops.
We are currently sending out soil samples for testing to assess pH levels, nutrients, and overall composition. Based on the results, we will amend the soil with organic matter, compost, and fertilizers to create the ideal growing conditions for our Chinook hops. Additionally, we will fine-tune our irrigation system to ensure consistent moisture and maximize the hop yard’s potential. By taking these steps, we are laying the groundwork for a healthy, high-yield harvest.
