Our Story
Fainting Goat Tea started from a lifelong love of animals, tea, and the kind of slow moments that help you reset and feel more like yourself.
My name is Michelle Aulson, and I'm the founder of Fainting Goat Tea.
After years of creating unforgettable experiences with our fainting goats through Goats To Go, I found myself pulled deeper into another lifelong passion—loose leaf tea. What started as curiosity turned into a bigger idea: building a space where people could slow down, reconnect with nature, and turn tea into a real ritual instead of just another drink.
In 2018, that vision expanded into plans for a tea shop inside a restored historic building in downtown Georgetown, Massachusetts. The space was meant to bring together ethically sourced teas, education, gifts, and community in one calming place.
Then COVID shifted everything. The renovation paused, the plans were put on hold—but the story didn't stop there.
Instead, tea found its way back to where everything started: the farm.
Life at the Farm
While Goats To Go continued to grow, something unexpected started happening—we began adding tea tastings into our farm experiences.
Guests would gather among fainting goats and alpacas, sip curated blends, and experience tea in a completely different way—outside, in nature, surrounded by animals, calm, and real presence.
That changed everything.
What started as an idea became an experience. And what became an experience slowly turned into a brand.
Today, Fainting Goat Tea is rooted at Great Rock Farm, where nature, animals, and intentional living shape everything we create.
